eEnablement was established to support the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership – Procurement Services in delivering "World Class" service to all health boards in Wales by providing a centralised support function that drives forward delivery and support of:

    Operating Hours

e-Enablement: 08:00hrs - 17:00hrs

Service Support Helpdesk: 08:30hrs - 17:00hrs

The aim of eEnablement is to:
"Reduce transactional & process costs within Procurement and Accounts Payables to a "world class" standard by maximising the use of new and existing technology, automating processes, improving data quality and providing robust reporting whilst reducing duplication of effort and applying a standard approach to the way we work".

Our vision in the e-Enablement Team is to provide a "best in class" centralized support function that supports all aspects of: Technological Developments, Systems Support and Training, Business Intelligence, Catalogue Content and Business Process Review/Improvement, whilst ensuring that we within Procurement Services are compliant with the All Wales COM (Common Operating Model).

It is our vision to reduce transactional and processing costs by automating processes and maximizing the benefits of both new and existing technology that exist within Procurement Services.

Strategies & Documents
The eEnablement Team held their Strategic quarterly review in May 2015, to ensure that we continue to be innovative. This means our objectives still remain the same, but the way we ‘Deliver’ these ‘May Change’.

There has been a number of amendments to existing strategies across the 3 strands which are available for review

eEnablement Teams
The following teams make up the main strands of eEnablement:

    Data & Reporting
    The Data and Reporting team has now been disbanded and replaced by the Systems and Business Intelligence teams.
    Service Improvement/Developments
    The Service Improvement team works to standardise working practises within the P2P process and identify areas that require development to achieve a World class Procurement department.
    Service Support/Oracle Training
    The Service Support team provides a central point of contact for end users of Oracle related Procurement modules where they require issue resolution through configuration and specialist knowledge.
    eEnablement Service Support matrix
    The Service support matrix is an overview of current support eEnablement offers to end users

        We also provide classroom based Oracle iprocurement training to local Health Boards. We are developing e-learning tools in line with our training strategy.
